President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has confidently stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as its flagbearer, is deserving of victory in the forthcoming December 7, 2024, general elections, citing the significant achievements the party has accomplished in the past seven years.
Speaking at a grand gathering of the chiefs and residents of Effutu (Winneba) in the Central Region during the culmination of the annual Aboakyer Festival over the weekend, he emphasized the extensive development initiatives undertaken by the party nationwide, asserting that they warrant continuity.
He remarked, "The international community is watching closely the outcome and proceedings surrounding the December 7 polls; therefore, it is imperative for all to demonstrate political maturity and conduct daily activities peacefully, showcasing Ghana's status as a beacon of peace."
Meanwhile, Dr. Bawumia is set to embark on a campaign tour of the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regions starting Wednesday, May 8, 2024, following the successful completion of the initial phase of his campaign in the Western, Western North, and Eastern regions.
In the course of the campaign, Dr. Bawumia, along with his campaign team and the entire NPP community, extends heartfelt gratitude to the gracious people of the Eastern, Western, and Western North Regions for their warm reception and enthusiastic endorsement of the Bold Solutions agenda.
